Project description: The subject of the public contract is to create documents and propose approaches for the evaluation of the impacts of agri-environment measure M10 ("AEM") as one of the most important measures of the Rural Development Program, to which more than one quarter of the Program budget is allocated – especially for the sub-measure: 1 – Integrated fruit production, M 10. 1. 2 – Vegetables M 10. 1. 3 – Grapes, M 10. 1. 4 – Treatment of grasslands, M 10. 1. 5 – Grassing of arable land and others. Part of the contract is to define potential impacts on public goods (e. g. landscape, biodiversity, environmental improvements, leisure activities, etc.). Next, defining the benefits that a society derives from the financing of the above list of measures through the concept of assessing the provision of public goods ("PB") and ecosystem services ("ESS").

IREAS in this order provides two component parts of the solution. Firstly, the creation of a theoretical framework for the use of the PB concept for environmental impact assessment of AEM (using selected ESSs relevant to agriculture). Secondly, it is an review of the PB/ESS evaluation methods in terms of their relationship between the reliability of the results and the demanding use.
