Brief Summary:

The long-term unemployment of disadvantaged people generates social problems not only to these groups, but to major of the population as well. In an effort to help to this population back to labour market the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Czech Republic have decided to work out a study, which is based on international experience and methodology of „Community of Practice on Inclusive Entrepreneurship – CoPIE“. This methodology was previously applied to Berlin, Wales, and the Flanders. It was applied to Ústí nad Labem region in the case of the Czech Republic.

Along with solving of this project the problems of disadvantaged population groups and its business were discussed with politicians, NGOs and former unemployed itself. The politicians were contacted on local, regional and also on national level. Representatives of the organizations, which work with long-term unemployed, were the second main interviewee group. The last part was interviews with entrepreneurs and their views of business, consultancy and financial management possibilities as they are from social groups threatened by unemployment.

The project purpose was a study providing basis for policy makers and counselling organization towards situation improvement of disadvantaged population groups in case of creating entrepreneurships.
