| Brief Summary: | As a result of decentralisation process in the Czech Republic and as a result of the access the Czech Republic to the European Union greater emphasis is insisted on the learning of workers in the public administration on the problems of environmental protection and also in the field of the waste management. It si necessary to produce suitable educational programme, which would respond to these needs and which would be most susceptible to potential participants of the educational programme. Specific form of the educational course is distance form of education with actual components in view of its adventages. |
| Project Objective: | The project objective is to improve level of special knowledges of the workers in the public administration and the competent public in the field of the waste management through realization of the distance educational course and through production of the special internet portal. |
| Outputs: | The project output will be the educational programme for workers in the public administration accredited by Ministry of Internal Affairs. Regarding working load of workers in the public administration it is necessary to offer other than attendance, very time-consuming, way of the education. Alternative is distance education, which has still bigger space at the educational market with regard to its advantages. This educational form is suitable for the field of treatment with waste also because findings from this field are dynamically developed and just distance education can elastic respond to these new findings. The emphasis is insisted on use of modern software environment for the student contact with expert rear in the form of tutor and with other students, which makes possible to efficient use of feedback in the solved problems. For successful educational process it is necessary to produce quality educational instruments, which are produced by experts from field of the waste management and experts for production of the distance educational instruments. Students will be divided into groups according level of their knowledge of the waste problems in order that the course may proper reflect informational needs of the students. Special materials available on the web portal of the education will be basis of the study. Created questionnaire finds out informational and educational needs of workers in the public administration, the questionnaire is the basis for the production of the factual contens of the distance education. Resulting form of the questionnaire is the result of the cooperation between solvers of other moduls, their follow activities are knotted with questionnaire results. For findings suitability of formal and factual questionnaire filling there was implemented advanced researche through directed interview with workers in the public administration from the field of the waste management. There were 32 informants from the whole Czech Republic. The conclusions of the analysis of the results from questioning of selected sample were the basis for wider research proceed in the year 2003. 100 workers in the public administration are participated in this research. The results of this research will be input information in the production of the distance education of workers in the public administration, its pilot version will be realized in the autumn 2003. Within the site meeting, which was on the end of the year 2002, preparatory results were presented and final report of project solving in the year 2002 was introduced. |
