| Brief Summary: | Project is a part of the large research activity of the International Commision for the Protection of the Danube River – Danube Regional Project, that is focused on analysis of human impacts on water in Danube river basin as one of the largest European river basins. The project finances the research in most of the Danube river basin countries. Its long-term goal is to develop tools for the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive. | Outputs: | In November 2004, there was a discussion seminar on „Reforms of the Public Water Supply Systems and Sewerages in CR“, held in Prague. On the seminar, several reforms on water and sewage long-term pricing and regulation were discussed in the small group of experts. In April 2005, there was the conference called „The State of the Implementation of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive in CR – lengs and weaknesses“, organized by IREAS for representatives of municipalities and water and sewage utilities. The conference was organized with the help of Water Supply and Sewer Association in the Czech Republic (SOVAK) and Konrad-Adenauer-Stifftung.
