| Brief Summary: | The objective of this consultancy is to gather data for a set of at least 20 water and sanitation utilities in the Czech Republic following the template of the World Bank IBNET Water Toolkit Framework. |
| Outputs: | The characteristic of water and sanitation as a local service often means that individual utilities do not have easy access to comparable performance information in order to judge how well their performance and practices compare with others, even within their own country. This essential information, based on comparative data, gives water utility managers and those charged with regulatory or oversight responsibilities the opportunity to know how well the utilities are performing in the real world. The information also allows an opportunity to set targets for improvement, and to access knowledge on best practices in other utilities that will support improvement programmes. In cooperation with SOVAK, IREAS is gathering and processing the data according to requirements of WB. It will also provide the results of the research to the Czech public. |
