Project:Non-Government Organization Education – EU Structural Funds

Brief Summary:

There is organized a set of 26 four-days courses in this project. The main topic of these courses is aimed at EU Structural Funds and their assistance in the Czech Republic. The objective of this project is to prepare Czech NGOs and their partners from public and private sector for managing projects assisted by EU Structural Funds.

The topics mentioned during lessons are:

  1. National Development Plan,
  2. Czech Operational programmes,
  3. Single Programming Documents and their applications in projects preparation,
  4. finance management.
This project is supported by PHARE 2001.

Project Objective:

The objective of this project is to increase ability of non-government organization to use EU Structural Funds assistance. Both non-government organizations and private and public sector participants are able to participate. It helps to establish regional partnership for future projects. The ratio of non-government organizations to private and public sector is approximately 70 % to 30 %.

The activities in this project are:

  1. Publication – The guidebook for EU Structural Funds,
  2. The cycle of courses – 2 x 2 days concerning EU regional and structural policy and ability to use the resources of EU Structural funds,
  3. The main aim of this project is to increase professionalism in using EU Structural Funds assistance.

Outputs:

There will be a series of 26 four-days courses (April 2003 to May 2004). There are planned two courses in each region of the Czech Republic except Liberec and Karlovy Vary regions. Each of course is planned for 20 participants, for whose is prepared book – The guidebook for EU Structural Funds and CD.

Participants fee is 1600 CZK. There is included food, refreshment and accommodation in the price.
